We often dream of being Victoria Beckham – the clothes, the husband, the LA lifestyle – but never more so than now.
Yesterday VB took to her
Twitter
account to post a series of snaps straight from the very heart of fashion land – Chanel’s Haute Couture salon in Paris. The reason for her visit? She’s being shot by Karl Lagerfeld for French
Elle
, of course. Oh, and she’ll be wearing pieces from Chanel’s latest couture collection to boot.

From rails of monochrome suiting to tables of ‘joallerie’ and boxes of pearl barettes (but sadly no sign of
Choupette
, Lagerfeld’s cat), the designer gave us a glimpse into the world behind the Karl curtain, even perching on the salon’s famous marble staircase in her towelling robe.
Beckham is clearly wearing her celebrity hat for the shoot (we doubt any other designer would don pieces from a rival brand), the same hat she’ll be wearing if she does indeed perform with the
Spice Girls at the Olympics Closing Ceremony
. But by the looks of it, she’s not letting the pesky rumours of disharmony amongst herself and her Spice-y counterparts get to her. As we like to say, all’s well that ends Chanel.
