I love the mix of old toys and family pictures in this restaurant and bar on rue du Mont Thabor, near the Tuileries. The atmosphere is great and the food and cocktails are superb. It’s a favourite of mine in Paris.

Eaglerider, Los Angeles

To see Los Angeles at its best I hire a Harley-Davidson from this place on Lincoln Boulevard in Marina del Rey and then just drive. I stop off for a burger at the kosher diner Jeff’s Gourmet on West Pico.
