It’s always sad to hear that a couple you thought were happy together and would marry one day split, especially if they spent two or three years together. Model Anne Vyalitsyna (also known as Anne V) has announced that she and Adam Levine went separate ways.

Anne told People:

Adam and I have decided to separate in an amicable and supportive manner. We still love and respect each other as friends. I wish him all the best.”

The Maroon 5 singer and Victoria’s Secret beauty had been dating for two years. They met in 2010 at the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue release party in Las Vegas where the music band performed.

Adam, who used to date Maria Sharapova, Jessica Simpson and Cameron Diaz in the past, said previously he wanted to make the relationship work:

This is the most functional relationship I’ve ever been in. I don’t want to screw it up.”
